Better book a few more nights!

Located just a short drive from many of Scotland’s leading attractions, The Meikleour Arms is the ideal base for exploring this fabulous wee country. From fabulous royal residences (to name but a few nearby: Scone Palace, Glamis Castle, Blair Atholl…) and exhilarating outdoor activities, to world-famous distilleries (we highly recommend a dram at Dewar’s Aberfeldy) and iconic Scottish golf courses, it’s all on our doorstep!

Walks

Enjoy the peaceful beauty of the estate and surrounding area by exploring on foot. Don’t miss the heather-lined paths of our North Wood just behind the hotel, the extraordinary wildfowl life around Stormont Loch or the paths around the hotel cottages. Venture down to discover our pebble beach by the mighty River Tay. In May, immerse yourself in the fragant Kinclaven Blue Bell Wood whose spectacular ancient trees were featured in Outlander series.

Fishing

Meikleour is renowned internationally for its fabulous salmon fishing. Indeed, we are proud to host the official opening of the salmon fishing season on the River Tay on the 15th of January every year. If you would like to give salmon fishing a go, our ghillies Calum and Ian would be delighted to teach you. The quickest way to pick up fly-fishing is to learn how to cast from a friendly professional, and that’s exactly who you’ll find at Meikleour Fishings.

Golf

Get into the swing of things at Meikleour. With so many iconic Scottish golf courses located less than an hour’s drive from the hotel, the Meikleour Arms makes the perfect base for teeing off your golfing holiday. Simply book your stay, pack the clubs and look forward to the first round…
